This page provides information about transportation resources available for local and regional travel.

Guidelines and information for students travelling off campus for college events can be found on the Office of Leadership Activities Student Travel page.

Not all services listed below are endorsed by the college.
They are listed as possible resources to be used at your own discretion.  

COVID-19 Update: If you choose to leave campus or travel using public transportation,
it is important to follow proper protocol to keep yourself and others safe. 
Always wear a mask and carry hand sanitizer. 

Local Transportation

 

The CDTA has a bus stop on campus that is free with your мÓÆÂÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹û ID. You can take this to downtown Saratoga and to the Wilton Mall.

Please note that the CDTA bus system is encouraging masks and social distancing but not enforcing these guidelines. Therefore, it will be up to you to follow guidelines if you choose to ride the bus.

мÓÆÂÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹û Bikemore
Anyone with a мÓÆÂÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹û ID can check out a bike for free at the Scribner Library circulation desk.

Bikes through the Bikemore program will also be available to reserve. Details to come.

мÓÆÂÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹û Cars
мÓÆÂÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹û has two cars available to borrow for academic and cocurricular day trips. You must be an authorized driver to reserve them. To become authorized, you must complete an online safety training.
Use of the мÓÆÂÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹û fleet vehicles for Fall 2020 must be related to a credit-bearing course including independent studies, to assist students conducting research, or when students are attending athletic practice off-campus and the vehicle is coach driven.

Amtrak has a train station in Saratoga Springs that is 2.5 miles from campus and one in Albany/Rensselaer that is 36 miles from campus. Prices vary depending on times and dates. Routes include points west (Syracuse, Rochester, Buffalo), north (Montreal), northeast (Rutland), south (NYC) and east (Boston).
Take CDTA #452 bus from мÓÆÂÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹û to the Circular Street and Lake Ave stop (you have to ask the bus driver to stop and let you out there because it is only a scheduled stop in the evenings.) cross the street and pick up CDTA #451 bus which will take you to the train station.


Offers service from the Saratoga Amtrak Station to New York City, Boston and Montreal. From the Albany station, destinations include Boston, Syracuse, NYC, Connecticut and Montreal.


Offers service from the Saratoga Amtrak Station to New York City. From the Albany station, destinations include Babylon, Binghamton, Buffalo, Hempstead, Kingston, Long Island, Masapequa, Nanuet, Newburgh, Queens Village, Rochester, Syracuse, Utica and White Plains.


Premiere Transportation offers daily shuttle service between Albany Airport and points south to JFK and LaGuardia and Newark airports

From campus to the airport generally run $50–$75. Please call individual companies for their rates.

Take the bus downtown to the corner of Broadway and Congress Park. 
Take Bus #50 to Schenectady (free).
Take Bus #55 to Colonie Center ($1).
Take bus to Albany International Airport ($1)
Total travel time is approximately 2 hours, 10 minutes
